Jobin John is a Researcher in the Vehicle Safety Division at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Chalmers University Of Technology (Sweden), where his work focuses on applied biomechanics. His research involves developing tools and workflows for injury biomechanics, with an emerging focus on probabilistic modeling within the broader context of human digital twins.
He is one of the core developers and maintainers of the open source VIVA+ Human Body Models, used for research and virtual testing in vehicle safety assessments. He is also a contributor to the SAFER HBM.
Jobin has played a key role in several Open Science initiatives. He currently serves as the President of the Open Virtual Testing Organisation (OVTO). At Chalmers, he led the development of the course Open Science for Engineers and Researchers.
He also holds an appointment as Director of Undergraduate Studies at the department, where he coordinates teaching activities.
